The Academy of Mexican Dance and Music was founded under the direction of Mr. Rafael Castañeda. AMDM is dedicated in providing high quality instruction in all facets of Mexican folk dance and music. They are committed to providing a progressive well rounded curriculum of instruction in a positive friendly environment. They cater to students from 4 years old through adult, beginner to professional level. Students may study a variety of Mexican dance styles from their highly professional teaching staff. Instructors assess student's strengths and areas for growth and apply teaching skills in such a way to maximize student's enjoyment and help them reach their ultimate potential. They motivate and develop young minds into the art of Mexican Folklore Dance and Music.

AMDM's Main Dance Company
The Academy of Mexican Dance and Music Main Dance Company is formed by a group of professional and experienced dancers. Under the Artistic Direction and Choreography of Mr. Samuel Barriga the AMDM artistic mission is to present and produce high-caliber dance works from our Mexican Culture with a perspective reflecting the country's resplendent heritage and celebrating the vibrant spirit of its culture and diverse people.
