The Jambangan Cultural Dance Company Inc. is currently evolving into an organization with a wider arts practice than purely Philippine folk dances although the body, space and time -- key fibers of the art of dance -- are very much at the center of our more divergent projects. They seek to develop dance and choreography to a level of excellence inviting the perception and imagination of both artists and audiences locally, nationally and internationally.

In 21 February 2009, four months before its first founding anniversary, the Jambangan Cultural Dance Company Inc., in cooperation with the National Commission of Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the WMSU College of Physical Education, Recreation & Sports (CPERS), mounted a successful major dance concert entitled "Zamboanga in Dance & Music" at the Dr. J.
