Academic Artistic Folklore Ensemble

Academic Artistic Ensemble TECHNIK was established in 1953 under the auspices 
of Technical University in Bratislava, SLOVAKIA. The ensemble consists of dancing, musical, singing sections. Members of this group are students from all parts of Slovakia studying at Bratislava's Universities.

Duration of their wide range repertoire could be from 10 up to 120 minutes. Repertoire is very diverse and contains dances of small member forms and also bigger forms. The dances are performed by men and also women. The music section /6-8 members/ together with the members of singing group /4-6 members/ is able to create pleasurable atmosphere and their repertoire is long enough for several hours of entertainment.

In recent years they represented their Slovak dance and music traditions on festivals in Mexico (San Luis Potosi), China (Chang An City, Dongguang -- Guangdong province), Belgium (Brusel), Hungary (Szekszard), Czech Republik (Hradec Kralove), Serbia-Monte Negro (Pazova), Italy (Vignanello), Greece (Lefkas).

As well they are the winners of Slovak national academic competition in years 2005,2006 and 2008.
