The Group has made great contribution to retainSamen, also named Thousand-Hands-Dance, a traditional dance of Aceh inSumatra, Indonesia. The dance emphasizes in the keen reactions and rapport of dancers. Dancers sit upright in a line on the stage, accelerate their movements when the music speeds up, and use their arms, heads and upper bodies to have movements full of changes but uniformed. Samen has been listed in the “List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding” by UNESCO in 2011.
