“WootdaliNong-ak” in PyeongTaek is a dance originated from the traditionalrural society, and was recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Korean government. The Grouphas devoted to retaining the traditional culture since setting up in 1950, and has performed in many countries. The performances use the traditional instruments; the dancers wear the “Sangmonori” hats with ribbons on them, rotating according to the drum rhythm. When playing the “Mudongnori” dance, a dancer would dance on the shoulder of another dancer. The strong rhythm and the dance withacrobaticsparts would always attract the audiences’ attention. |
