The Group was founded in Arkhangelsk by the artistic director,LudmilaEmelyanova, in1964. The members nowadays are up to 250 children and teenagers,aged from 5 to 20. The performances contain children dances, Russian folk dances and modern dances. The Grouphas traveled around different Russian cities,had a lot of performances and got many prizes in different Russian dance competitions. Although the members change regularly, all members devote to the aim of retaining and promoting north Russian culture.
