NanYing international folklore festival held every 2 years will start from October 8th to October 10th. All of the preparation is on the process. Many of the folklore performing groups are invited to perform in Taiwan. Many friendship organizations representing Tainan citizens are also invited to receive the performing groups to make deeper cultural exchange. The Cultural Affairs of Bureau of Tainan City government is going to hold a seminar on October 9th to invite all the 94 friendship organizations including school, community, family, corporation and local organizations. To make sure all of the friendship organizations are well-prepared, the seminar will includes the introductions of the festival and the experts will come to share their personal experience.

        Nanjing international folklore festival was first held in 1996, since then, it was held every two years. The purpose of the festival is to preserve intangible cultural heritage and promote cilvil diplomacy and Taiwanese culture and art. Except promoting exchanges through performance, the friendship organizations has always played a very important role since the first year of the festival. Through the actives held  by the local community and family, the international groups are able to interact with the locals with a more impressive way.

        More than 20 international groups are going to participate in the 10th NanYing International Folklore festival. To welcome our friends from all over the world, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Tainan City government has attracted many local communities, families, performing groups and corporations to become the members of the friendship organizations. The number of the friendship organizations has raised from 16 to 94 during during the past few years. The seminar held today nincludes the brief introduction of organizations. It also invites the consultant of the friendships organizations, Mr Xia xiao ming and Director Guo weizhi from Zilong primary school to share their former experience.

        Being one of the most important cultural city in Taiwan, they are multiple diverse cultural heritage in taiwan. The purpose of holding the festival is to demonstrate our traditional folklore culture arts to the world which is very meaningful to Taiwan. With the participation of the friendship organizations, it promote the cultural exchange and enhance the global visibility of Tainan.

        As usual, all of the performing groups come to Taiwan at their own expense. After their arrival, the city government will provide them with transportation and accommodation. By enhancing the local participation and strengthen the friendship between each other, the city government has invited local school, community and family to become the member of the friendship organizations. According to the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Tainan City government, over the past few years, the friendship organizations have impressed the international groups by the local food and activities. They also demonstrate the best Taiwanese folklore culture to them.
