Russia is a sovereign state in northern Eurasia and the largest country in the world. On December 25, 1991, after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Russia created its independence to practice democracy, as a state with abundant natural resources and powerful military strength. Established in 1968, members of Devchata of Orekhovo-Zuevo are mainly female high school and university students. With rich and diversed  performance, the dance group presents folkdance of Central Russia, and has been frequently invited to overseas performance, including international folk and art festivals in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Egypt, and United Arab Emirates.  

Russians, with their deeply rooted musical and cultural traditions, regard music and dance as important as life. In religious rituals and for daily celebration and entertainment, songs, dances, and instrumental music are performed. Its music is lively and vivid with strong ethnic features. The group will perform SARAFAN: the traditional Russian ancient khorovod dance with girls dressed in traditional jumper dresses. They gather as a circle to perform simple sliding dance moves. The performers dance along to the music, traditionally, acrobatic and fun elements in quick tempo are added for traditional festival celebrations.
